Jyoti Yatra: how to delete your account or data
This applies to the jyotiyatra.in website and the Jyoti Yatra Android app (Google Play).
Delete your whole account
- Open My Yatra in the app or on the website (https://jyotiyatra.in/en/yatra/).
- Sign in with your Google account.
- Tap “Delete account” at the very bottom of the page and confirm.
Your name, email, profile photo, practice record (malas, yatras, vrats, Jyotirlingas), birth date, postal address/phone and notification subscriptions are deleted from our server immediately and permanently. Nothing is kept.
Usage counts (which page opened when) are unlinked from your account and keep no name or email. The copy on your phone is removed when you clear the app/browser data.
Delete only some data
- Postal address and phone: tap “Leave the draw” in the goodies section of My Yatra; the address is deleted at once.
- Leaderboard name: turn off “Show my name on the leaderboard” on My Yatra.
- Data without sign-in stays only on your phone: clear the app/browser data.
